Hump Day again!?

This week has been throwing me off with the no power and all...

since all i think about all day in my candlelit house is coffee,

i made a trip to Dunkin Donuts for a hot Pumpkin Spice.

so delicious, it tastes just like fall!

after stopping for coffee, i dropped off another load of laundry to have washed. and now im at Starbucks like the coffee whore i am using there free WiFi, and charging my macbook, and maybe sipping on a skinny vanilla latte. 

my house is DISGUSTING. 

i was just informed our power 'should' be back on Friday night at midnight.

so, any clean freaks out there who are available saturday morning to HELP clean my house.

you know my checkbook is waiting...

i did get to shower finally, Terry & Gail hooked up a generator and allowed me to use all of there hot water. Thanks! no seriously, thanks, i was getting stares, and waving the hand in front of nose motions by everyone. 

Hopefully blogging will return to a less smelly and more 'normal' tone shortly.!

Powerless

So we made it thru Irene.

I would be the worst caveman, post electric, amish, indian, person EVER.

Oh how i miss, and i LOVE electric.

who ever thought all i would have wanted was to do a load of laundry, and turn my vacuum on.

The princess woke me up early Sunday morning, i did a diaper change for her, made her bed (as in, folded the twelve baby blankets she sleeps with) got dressed, and made a bee line (i once saw Dane Cook in Newark performing, and he does a bit on why they call it a bee line, if it was a real ‘bee line’ we would be walking in circles) but i digress, so i head straight for the COFFEEEEE. and then, the worst thing ever, happens... ever.

the Power goes out! No coffee. I seriously think living in a time of B.C. and pre - electric was a conspiracy theory and just something our parents told us, like how your face will ‘get stuck’ when you stick your tongue out etc. i mean, Santa Claus really?  

Anyway, -I- we were hungry so, i made Ryan risk our lives and, MORE IMPORTANTLY his new truck for some bagels.

and what a bitch Irene is, taking the power of those hard working bagel makers. so we drove on. and on. and on. until we arrived at Bagel Haven or Heaven, im not sure of the name.

and, we were the only ones in the place

but, we got our bagels and coffee, and all was right in the world.

until we got back home. and there was still no power. im actually blogging from Ford because Ryan is having bed liners installed in his new truck... and we have no power still. Hotel anyone?

Update**** I thought I published this yesterday from Ford. Sorry to keep you in suspense. Im using ryans iPad right now. No power at my house still, yes, that means I havent showered since Saturday morning. I spent the rest of the day yesterday at the laundromat.

This morning i wanted Ketchup an omelet for breakfast...

so i made an Egg White Omelet with Spinach and cheddar cheese

and a pot cup of coffee.

oh my pink glitter nails, you noticed?

cheeeesy goodness.

i love black pepper ontop of eggs.

after i ate i took the baby for a 2 mile walk around my neighborhood.

its pretty humid out, so i worked up a smelly sweat.

these are my favorite type of mornings!

productive, yet, relaxing <-- does that make sense?

Now she is down for a nap so i can finally

catch up on my TiVo

get some things done around this house!

Ryans cousin is staying over tonight, so, 

i should really get into my part and clean...

or at least throw everything into a closet and lock the door...

oh and incase you didnt remember, its Friday.

For dinner tonight, i wanted something veggie packed and healthy

(who am i, and what have you done to samHOTmess?!)

i made a version of green bean casserole...

1 bag of frozen steamed broccoli florets

1 bag of frozen steamed whole green beans

1 cup of Frenchs Onions (what the heck are those things called?)

1 can of Low Sodium Cream of Broccoli soup 

(because i have a SERIOUS phobia & disgust for mushrooms, BLEH)

SO GOOD!

And since Ryan didnt exclusively want green beans and broccoli for dinner

i made him spicy breaded buffalo chicken

he said it was "good"

i mean, he ate it all... and pretty sure hes still living...

not to get all DEEP and sentimental but...

I have it heavy on my heart several people closest to me are going through some tough times.

family, friends, boyfriends, husbands, finances...

if you've had the day, week, month, YEAR from hell...

try to find something you enjoy, something simple this weekend, and do it.

'do what you love. love what you do'

whether its picking flowers, spending some quality time with uplifting friends and family, gardening, swimming, talking, coffee, surviving hurricanes the best way you know how, photography, baking, reading... whatever floats your boat, do it. treat yourself, you deserve it...take care of yourself, 

be healthy and be happy...

be like Ronnie from Jersey Shore and "DO YOU"

and remember, it can feel like you're by yourself, all alone, but you're not.

So yesterday i went for a long walk in my neighborhood with the little Princess

and then did a quick workout at my house including legs / shoulders/ abs

lazy leg workout:

lunges w/ two 5lb weights 20 reps x 3 sets

squats w/ two  5lb weights 20 reps x 3 sets

step ups same weight 20 reps x 3 sets

shoulders:

overhead press 10 lbs x 10 x 3

lateral raises 5 lbs x 10 x 3

and this other one that im not sure of what theyre called

but you raise your arms straight out infront of you?

While this little girl still sleeps

I have to call around for some oil prices... i need 275 gallons for the winter...

recommendations?

i attacked to frozen waffles for breakfast.

oh, and, im walking like i have a stick up my a$$

so sore already from working out yesterday!

Vacation Recap 1.2

Final VayCay Recap!
thank God, now you can stop skipping these posts


Everyone had to be home by early saturday afternoon.
the drive is 12 hours, and we didnt want to drive during the day with two little babies so we left around 5:00 pm.  An hour into the drive the Princess was out!  The first two hours of the trip were spent in a fast moving traffic... if that makes sense? Lots of cars leaving myrtle beach!

i cuddled with this big bear on the ride home... since i did such a BAD good job driving there, i didnt drive even 1 minute on the way home? 

Lounging in the back. listening to 'the heat' on XM. best station ever!

(also Laugh Factory/Raw Dog, i love comedy!)

When that got boring, i took advantage of the fact nobody let me drive and slept. and slept. and slept.

We arrived home around 4:30 am? 

The princess slept through the entire trip! I was really nervous, and prayed about it all week!

Thank you Jesus! 

While its a little depressing that vacation is over, its nice to be home.

my dad took care of my house, and my dog, and my lawn...

so coming home after a week is nice, especially when your mail is collected

awesome party invitations came:

and my dad bought the princess a lil' somethin-somethin.

and, best of all, Ryan & I (mostly I) didnt spend ALL of our money down there!

Sunday Night we headed to Terry & Gails for our weekly sunday dinner.

i dont mean to yes i do 'toot my own horn' but i made the most delicious, cheesiest vegetable lasagna, ever!

followed by a yummy piece of strawberry cheesecake, i ate the crust off right before the picture.

its my favorite part!

And this morning, its not even 60* yet!

i have a long sleeve shirt and running capris on!

i ran 3 miles (as indicated by my fingers) near my house this morning!

a good thing about Mondays is everything if you dont have a job in the Fall, 

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!  Game 2 for the Giants PreaSeason. 8pm.
