This is a pretty long post- hang in there-
or check back tomorrow!
So our Disney Weekend started with the race expo for packet pickup. It was held at the ESPNWWoS (world wide of sports).
Like all things Disney, it went pretty smoothly, considering this race was capped at 20,000 runners AND SOLD OUT!
There were long lines to get our bibs but I thought they went fast. Once our bibs were picked up we walked a bit more to the actual expo where the vendors are... I got some free swag, granola, protein bars, etc.
A few hours later we all (7) headed to Lunch/Dinner. LINNER.
Last time we did this race basically every restaurant in the Orlando area had a really long wait time... Eating a big lunch ensured that we had at least one good meal of the day.
Full of steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes (carb-load!) it was time for SHOPPING! We headed to the Orlando outlets- which were obviously PACKED! They even had lines just to get INTO a few stores... I didn't mind waiting though :-D

I even added a new purse to my collection!
You can check it out HERE!
It was marked down, then an extra sale, and since I grabbed the last one in yellow- additional 10% off. Now that's a bargain.
We got the Princess some goodies from JCrew Kids and called it a day.
Ryan and I booked our room at the Disney All-Sports Hotel.
This is definitely one of their more basic resorts;
but saved a lot of money on it using a discount code from race registration.
I got all of my race day stuff ready, got settled then Ryan and I walked around the resort until 10pm. Finally, bed time.
My alarm was set for 3AM,
I got out of bed after 10 seconds of sleep at 3:12,
met up with Jessie and Cinderella at 3:50
and we grabbed the bus to the start line.
It was dark and a little chilly.
My only real 'complaint' against this race is that Disney requires all runners to the start line extremely early.
The race starts at 5:45,
so hanging out WAITING for 90 minutes is no fun.
The run itself was great!
They had adequate water/powerade stations about every mile.
There were plenty of characters that you could have your picture taken with, we waited in line for Pocohantas, Jessie (from Toy Story) and the Princes. The race takes you on back roads, down Main Street in Magic Kingdom, thru Cinderella's Castle, and ends around that big ol' Epcot ball thing.
We stuck together- and had so much fun!
Thanks Gail & Gm!
Once back in the room- I showered- twice, then it was off to Magic Kingdom! I feel comfortable saying that everyone had a good time, and when it did come time to go,
we all wanted to stay...
Thankfully the flight home was uneventful, RyannLynn & Ryan slept for the first hour or so.
Now back to reality, food shopping and cold weather.
